It's National Medical Assistants Day!
Medical Assistants are essential members to our patient centered care team. They are cross-trained to perform administrative and clinical duties. Some clinical duties include collecting vitals and preparing patients for their examination, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, venipuncture and collecting EKGs. Administrative duties include answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and updating patient medical records.
