Now you can skip the waiting room — virtual visits let you speak to one of our healthcare providers from the comfort of your own home. With telemedicine, you can get the answers you need without the worry or inconvenience of getting to a doctor’s office. Additional benefits of our telemedicine virtual visits include:
The most important thing to know before your virtual visit is that these calls are face-to-face appointments with FHMS Physicians. We recommend that all our patients treat this virtual call as if they were in the office. Please avoid any activities you would not do at traditional doctor’s office.
Currently, we do not conduct virtual visits for new patients coming to FHMS for the first time or patients that need a physical. Virtual visits are ideal for sick patients or anyone who needs a follow up appointment with their physician. Under rare circumstance FHMS may be able to work with a patient to make a virtual accommodation, but this is left up to FHMS’ discretion.
Before your visit, you will need either a fully charged phone, tablet, or computer with camera and video capabilities that is connected to the internet. If you do not have video, we can arrange a telephone visit.
When scheduling your appointment, FHMS will send you a link to use at the time of your visit to connect with a physician. If you choose to receive the link via text, we will need to know your cell phone provider. You can also receive your appointment link via email.
