Treatment for Substance Use

Family Health Medical Services offers medication assisted treatment for substance use disorders for patients who qualify for office based treatment. Dr. Selioutski is board certified in Addiction Medicine and oversees our office based program.

Dr. Selioutski and Dr. Berke are trained and credentialed in the management of buprenorphine, a prescription drug for people dependent on opioids (such as heroin and oxycodone). Buprenorphine reduces cravings for opioids and prevents symptoms of withdrawal.

To be considered for our office based treatment program, we request that our patients be engaged in counseling for their substance use disorder. We can assist you in locating a mental health professional that has experience treating these disorders. Counseling will give you additional resources to combat your dependency; medication alone may not be enough to keep you from misusing opioids; therefore engagement in counseling is required to receive buprenorphine from this practice.

Patients must also be established with Family Health Medical Services and up to date with routine and preventive screening. Contact us for more information or log in to the Patient Portal to schedule an appointment.

FHMS offers patients a range of virtual medical care services through our telemedicine program. Now you can get the care you need — wherever you may be.
